Job Description

Crafty is seeking a Procurement Manager to help reinforce and advance our procurement process efficiency. The Procurement Manager will be focused on monitoring, adjusting, and improving our procurement processes; achieving strategic and efficient deployment of spend; and overseeing our Procurement team. This person must have experience as a purchasing manager or analyst and have extensive experience that comes with the job: establishing and monitoring procurement metrics, oversight of a large budget, working in the food and beverage space, evaluating and negotiating with suppliers, seeking out new and upcoming brands, and managing the beginning of a national supply chain.

We are looking for a leader and a thought partner as we design the future of our supply chain. The perfect candidate will be responsible for root cause analysis for problems within Procurement, fixing those problems, and preventing the issues from spreading or recurring through process improvement. They will have to interface with a wide variety of folks both directly and indirectly - account managers, suppliers, warehouse teams across the nation, and company leadership. They will study sales records, inventory levels, replenishment cycles, and product lead times to identify the ideal on-hand product levels and find new sources for products. They will help build the structure of the procurement team as it stands now and as it evolves.

Who we are looking for:

Your experience (preferences, not requirements):

• Leading a team of high-performing contributors with empathy
• Managing product mix and assortment at a leading food and beverage brand or distributor
• Using data analysis to engage with strong purchasing principles, such as inventory levels, cost analysis, and vendor consolidation
• Building processes from the ground up and documenting successful outcomes through SOPs
• Vendor and supplier negotiation; namely, negotiating contracts and executing RFQs and RFPs
• Prioritizing ongoing daily activities with effective and strong project management
• Leading cross-functional teams; integrating well with multiple company stakeholders

Your proficiencies:

• Superior analytical toolset, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Tableau, etc.
• Project Management; specifically, experience with Asana or similar
• Rigorous attention to detail; extraordinarily organized
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• An ability to succeed without complete information and under tight turnaround times
• Positive energy and an ability to lead with empathy and enthusiasm

Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by the date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination is required.

• 14 days after your dose of an accepted single-dose vaccine
• 14 days after your second dose of an accepted 2-dose series
• 14 days after you've received 2 doses of any "mix-and-match" combination of accepted COVID-19 vaccines administered at least 17 days apart.
