👋  Hi, I’m Joe  - Director of Technical Operations here at Dwolla.  I’m looking for a curious, passionate InfoSec Team Lead
who is excited to lead a fast-paced, collaborative, diverse Engineering team.

Here is what you can expect to work on in this critical role:

You will be responsible for leading a small team of Information Security Engineers to support the assessment and improvement of Dwolla security through partnerships with Business and Engineering teams.  You’ll also help implement new security capabilities and ensure the effectiveness of security controls.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced InfoSec engineer who is passionate about leading a high-performing team and excited to wear many hats as you will also play a key role in incorporating application security, compliance, and risk/vulnerability management into the Dwolla Platform.

How does our InfoSec Team Lead spend their time?

You can expect to spend about 40% of your time leading the team through roadblocks and providing effective coaching and about 40% of your time executing technical and compliance-related projects.   The remaining 20% of your time will be spent on vendor management and due diligence requests.

What’s expected of an InfoSec Team Lead at Dwolla?

Lead a team of high-performing individuals including performance management
Coordinate and monitor team progress toward objectives and milestones
Serving as an information security subject matter expert for other Dwolla teams, as needed
Maintain relationships with external parties including audit and assessment firms
Serve as an escalation point for client or prospect questions or concerns
Oversee Dwolla’s vulnerability management program, in coordination with the team, to track and escalate issues of concern
Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on Dwolla corporate and platform networks and systems
Performing in-depth reviews of Dwolla application source code to identify vulnerabilities and suggest effective mitigations
Performing ongoing research into threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations to manage information security risk
Perform risk assessments of customers and vendors
Developing and delivering information security awareness content for employees
Leading responses to information security-related incidents
Developing and maturing information-security related processes
Developing and maintaining process documentation

What are the preferred qualifications for this position?

Detailed knowledge of Agile project management
Detailed knowledge of the process of testing security through vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
Detailed knowledge of software engineering best practices as they apply to application security
Detailed knowledge of system administration practices as they apply to system hardening and monitoring
Detailed knowledge of relevant cloud environments, inherent risks, and appropriate security mitigations
Detailed knowledge of handling and escalation of potential security incidents
Basic knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for relevant standards and frameworks
Developing and high-potential skills in leading and managing direct reports
Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills including quantitative approaches to decision making
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work across teams and departments to collaboratively solve problems
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience, including 2 years of leadership experience
Typically requires a general industry-accepted security credential
