About Your Role:
Engage with engineering teams to ensure that product security requirements and specifications are appropriately implemented;
Serve as a liaison with engineering teams across entire product security lifecycle, including keeping product security team up-to-date on engineering progress and working with engineering teams to satisfy security requirements;
Lead code review activities as an advocate for product security and be a subject matter expert for other engineering disciplines;
Manage gate reviews for product security lifecycle phases from requirements and design through product implementation and operation;
Lead and/or participate in activities related to asset and threat identification, attack trees, vulnerability analysis, and threat analysis and risk assessment;
Develop, document, and review work products related to product security lifecycle; and,
Keep abreast of the latest security technologies, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
B.S. or advanced degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical/electronics engineering, or other relevant field;
7+ years of experience in product security, embedded system security, or other related cybersecurity fields;
Strong knowledge of secure software practices (e.g., CERT C, CERT C++);
Strong knowledge of security design at multiple layers;
Experience with managing output of secure and/or static code analyzers;
Experience with ISO-21434 or a related or similar vehicle cybersecurity standard (e.g, SAE J3061);
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jama, DOORS) and issue management tools (e.g., JIRA);
Expert analytical and communication skills to effectively communicate with engineering teams; and,
Can travel occasionally (1-2 weeks per year).
Nice to Haves:
Experience in product security management;
Strong knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and key management (e.g., PKI);
Strong knowledge of embedded firmware and hardware security;
Working knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., Polyspace, Synopsys, Black Duck, Coverity Scan, Polyspace, Lauterbach, dSPACE); and,
Experience in vehicle or other safety-critical systems cybersecurity.
